Why Prolly?
A good investor is someone who understands what they're investing in and why they're investing. But to do that, they need to wade through mounds of data, absorb fast-moving news, and tackle jargon-laden analysis. This can make investing in the stock market intimidating, even to professionals. As industry veterans ourselves, we found that we were frequently approached by friends and acquaintances wanting advice on how to get started investing for themselves. Most often, although they were keen, they hesitated because they felt they didn’t understand well enough what they were doing.
That led us to a bit of a realisation: by refraining from individually investing because they felt they didn’t understand enough, they were being good investors. What if there were a tool that helped them to understand? What if there were a tool that turned their good investor instincts into actionable investment ideas? What if we built that tool?
